Share Your Faith By Confessing Christ To Others

"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,...(Isaiah 52:7).

Share the good news with others by testifying or witnessing for Jesus. "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD,...(Isaiah 43:10). This should be done unhesitatingly, both in public and in private, as opportunity affords. "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Revelation 12:11).

Never be ashamed to testify for Christ. "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 10:32,33). "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels" (Mark 8:38).

Wisdom should be used in witnessing for the Lord, looking to Him for the right words to speak at the proper time, and trusting Him to make them a blessing. If we have God's Word in our mind, He can put the words in our mouth. Always keep in mind that you are witnessing for him-that you are speaking for him, and not for yourself. Never push yourself to the forefront, but rather give Christ Jesus the preeminence in everything. We have nothing whereof to boast. We are what we are by the grace of God.

Tell the world what Christ has done for you, what Jesus is to you, and what he will do for others if they will come to him and trust him, and tell it with the thought of winning others to Jesus, "He that winneth souls is wise" (Proverbs 11:30).

Spreading the gospel isn't just the responsibility of Sunday school teachers and pastors. All who know Jesus can share the gospel with friends, co-workers, family members, and strangers. It is God's commandment and our privilege to witness for Christ our Lord and savior. How will people "believe in Him of whom they have not heard?" (Romans 10:14). Every Christian has the good news that Paul wrote about and they should assist in delivering it by word and deed to people who need its life-giving message.

Make this the motto of your life:

"Only one life

'Twill soon be past;

Only what's done for Christ

Will last."
