God Provided for Our Salvation
God the Father through Jesus Christ, His Son, has provided a way for you to have eternal life, with Him, in heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). Because of man's sin, Christ suffered and died on the cross. The gift of eternal salvation is a free gift given by God to all those who believe in Jesus Christ. It is God's desire that all accept His free gift of salvation. "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
The Holy Sprit convicts you of sin and righteousness - "And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged" (John 16:8-11).
Through the Holy Sprit's conviction you realize that you are a sinner. "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not" (Ecclesiastes 7:20).
You cannot save yourself - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Sin is what separates you from God. "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2)
The sin barrier was removed - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
Through faith you believe - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (John 5:24).
Faith comes from the word of God - "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).
Our salvation is not from an earthly source, but from God Himself through Jesus by means of the Holy Spirit. We accept Him through faith, and He is born in us by the Holy Spirit. Is the Holy Sprit working within you convicting you of your sins? Do you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, how Christ died for our sins, the innocent in place of the guilty, was buried, and rose again the third day? Are you trusting Christ and Christ alone for your righteousness and acceptance before God?
We are without excuse - "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" (Romans 1:19-20).
